Poem: Transfer Deadline day

It’s transfer deadline day

What will Sky sources say

Who do you want your club to sign ?

Can they get the deal across the line

A permanent deal or maybe a loan

Managers & Agents on the phone

Will Van Djik, Sanchez or even a surprise move

Will you’re squad be weakened or will it improve

Channel 409 the one to choose

The ticker bar turns yellow it’s breaking news

Sit back and watch Jim White

The deadline slams shut at 11 to night

Wales semi final

Excited, nervous, hopeful And feeling a little emotional

For tonight in the semi-final of the Euro’s

On an all time high, after so many lows

A whole nation behind the team

We aren’t afraid to dream

We take on the unbeaten Portugal

They’ve got Ronaldo but we’ve got Robson-Kanu, Hal

No one expected us to get this far

We’ve travelled by plane, train, bus or car

Bordeaux, Lens, Toulouse, Paris, Lille, and now onto Lyon

What an amazing journey we’ve been on

This is our own Tour de France

After each win we watch Joe Ledley dance

He’s missing his own wedding day

To pull on the Welsh shirt and play

In my lifetime there’s never been a bigger game

Chris Coleman may miss his child being born, but at least he can help with the name

How about Hennessey, Gunter , Chester, Ashley, Ben, Collins, Taylor, Allen….

Ledley, Ramsay, Hal, Sam, David, Johnny , Andy, Jazz, Bale, Coleman ?

One more win boys is what we need

Watching over is Gary Speed

Chris Coleman’s team aren’t afraid to fail

Team spirit, passion and of course we’ve got Bale

We can make it the final to play France or Germany

Please make St-Denis, the last stop on our journey

We’ll have Ben Davies and Rambo back,

To tighten our defence, and be stronger in attack

No matter where you watch from tonight, make some noise

And no matter the outcome ,we are proud of our boys

We can play our own game and get at these

Overcome Ronaldo and the Portuguese

I’m going to be biting my nails, I’ll be a nervous wreck

Goosebumps & hairs standing up on the back of my neck

At the ground, at fan parks, or watching on S4C or ITV

Together we are stronger, Making history

Wales at the Euro’s

After 58 years with little chance We travelled in our thousands and lit up France

Bordeaux looked beautiful when we turned it Red

We ate frog legs & snails instead of cockles and lava bread

The locals loved how friendly we are

We travelled by plane, train, or by car

As the national anthem is sung

We sing together, the old and the young

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi

Which translates to

Land of my Fathers, O land of the free,

Gwlad beirdd a chantorion enwogion o fri

Which mentions poets, but it doesn’t mean me

Gwlad Gwlad,

Pleidiol wyf i’m gwlad,

Wales is my birthplace and of that I am glad

Sung with passion and pride

So proud and so happy I almost cried

We beat Slovakia two goals to one, we celebrated in the stands

Hugging random men, my voice gone, I need a beer to soothe my glands

We sang with pride, loud and together we are stronger

Can the boys win the group, and make my French stay last longer

We are off to Lens to play the English boys

Support the boys, make lots of noise

We can send the English home, with another fail

Williams, Allen, Ledley & Bale

We’ll show Jamie Vardy how to party in style

And everyone in Wales will have Aaron Ramsay’s hairstyle

We’ve got great spirit in our team

‘Chris Coleman had a dream ….🎼’

Wear your heart on your sleeve

Come on Wales, I believe

I believe in the team, what about you ?

We’ve got Hal Robson-Kanu

A win would be great, but a draw is all we need

Do it for the memory of Gary Speed

Poem: Valentines 14 Shades of Grey

Part 1 #14shadesofgrey

February 14th is Valentines day
So here’s my 14 shades of grey
Well Roses are red, and violets are blue
Here are some pointers on what you can do
It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been going steady,
Buy your girl a card and maybe a teddy,
If you can , a bunch of flowers
Plan ahead the next few hours
You don’t need a posh restaurant or hotel
All this can be done in the place that you dwell
Cook her a special meal
Show her exactly , how you feel
Good food together by candle light
Push the boat out, and don’t be too tight
Chill out and share a bottle of wine
Show her she, is your Valentine
If you can afford it have champagne on ice
But It doesn’t cost money, to just be nice
Show your loved one how much you care
Take time for each other, to stop n stare
Tell her how much you love her smile
Even If you’ve got kids together, and it’s been a while
It’s the little things she will appreciate
Be on your best behaviour it’s like a date
Put the Lights down low
And take things slow
Put on your special song
Marvin Gaye sang…. Lets Get it on
Love songs on and a slow dance
There’s nothing wrong with a little romance
Remember how you make her laugh
Tell her your just , running her a bath
This to a woman, is simple foreplay
Tonight she won’t need 50 shades of grey
Part 2 is dirty, your in for a treat
Before you do that, if you liked it click Share or Retweet
If you want more, nudge, nudge , wink wink
Then your going to have to click on this link

Poem Wales in the 6 Nations

One thing in this country unites us all
The sport that includes a ruck and maul
The boys carry the country’s expectations
When they represent Wales in the six nations
The atmosphere on match days is second to none
Whether your drinking beer, you’ll get excitement and fun
The national anthem starts, we stand and sing
Remember the magic moments from Mark Ring
Remember Robert Jones, amazing reverse pass
Jonathon Davies try against Scotland was pure class
I remember when Paul Thorburn kicked from deep inside his own half
The whole world must have thought, he was having a laugh
The last game ever at old Wembley and we won it,
Scott Gibbs scoring a try, in the last minute,
And the conversion from our record points scorer , Neil Jenkins
Capped off one of our all time favourite wins
Remember Martyn Williams at number seven
The crowd start singing Bread of Heaven
Like a Welsh Male Voice Choir they begin to sing
We had Ieuan Evans on the wing
The boys will put it all on the line
Gareth Edwards, the greatest ever nine?
Blood, tears and Sweat
Who could forget Phil Bennett
Barry John what a player, the best of all time ?
I wish I’d seen him at his prime
He was the Welsh wizard, he had many a trick
My number 12, was Steve Fenwick
Mervyn Davies, JJ, Stephen Jones, Scott Quinnell
We support all our players, we hope they do well
Wherever Wales play, the fans will travel
We ll always remember, Ray Gravell
That interception by John Deveraux
Gethin Jenkins in the front row
Gareth “Alfie” Thomas with his missing teeth
We’ve had players from Swansea, Cardiff, & Neath
Llanelli, Pontypool, Pontypridd & Newport
Starting in school, where they get taught
All the players born and bred
All proud to wear that famous red
So many great players like JPR
Shane Williams, a worldwide superstar
Our record try scorer he was the MAN
A legend, And MBE from Glanaman
I can’t have all these players in my all time fifteen
Who would you put, in your Welsh Dream team ?
We sing together, the old and the young
And stand up as the national anthem is sung
Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi
Which translates to
Land of my Fathers, O land of the free,
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion enwogion o fri
Which mentions poets, but it doesn’t mean me
Gwlad Gwlad,
Pleidiol wyf i’m gwlad,
Wales is my birthplace and of that I am glad
On the back of my neck the hairs standing up
One day we’ll win the Webb Ellis Cup
Kiss the badge with three feathers, that say Ich Dien
We can’t live on our history of what has been
We’ve always had great players, we’ve had so many
And now the torch is being passed to Leigh Halfpenny
The ref brings the captains together and calls heads or tails
Cymru am byth , Come on Wales
